Passed peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie on Wednesday, December 5th, 2018 at the age of 81. Loving husband of Dorothy (nee Cox). Beloved and honoured father of Tracy Vaicunas (Jay) and of the late Andrew (1993). Cherished grandfather of Andrew and Rose. Will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, his aunts Kay Schick and Helen Stein, a great many long-time friends, and all those who he inspired throughout the Barrie community. Albert is survived by his brother George (Nancy). Funeral services will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 374 Salem Rd., Barrie on Saturday, December 15th, 2018 at 1 pm, with arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. Following the service, guests are invited to remain for a reception luncheon in the church Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to Spinal Cord Injury Ontario or Independent Living Services of Simcoe County would be greatly appreciated by the family.
