(WWII Veteran. RCEME 3rd Division, 9th Canadian Infantry Brigade, Lance Corporal) (Lead singer/baritone in the Frankie Kaye Orchestra). Passed away peacefully at the I.O.O.F. Home, Barrie on Tuesday December 1st, 2009 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Rita. Dad to Alan Rennie of Barrie, Sandra Bourassa (Dave) of Barrie, Susan Newby (Paul) of Barrie and Michael Rennie of Toronto. Papa to Alexandra, Erinn, Brandon, Neal, Kevin, Rachel, Mark, Ryan and Erika. Friends may call at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home 201 Minet's Point Road, Barrie on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A legion service under the auspices of Dr. Bill Little Branch 147, Barrie will be held at 7:30pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday December 5th at 10:30am. Interment Innisvale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Inniswood Baptist Church, I.O.O.F. Home, Barrie or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
