Loving Memory of Alice
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Alice, a woman whose kindness, patience, and gentle spirit shaped the lives of all who knew her.
Born in Dublin, Ireland, Alice carried her deep love for her homeland with her always. As a proud Irish immigrant to Canada, she built a beautiful life rooted in family, faith, resilience, and quiet strength. Though she made her home in Canada, Ireland forever remained in her heart.
Alice was the devoted wife of Frank for 59 wonderful years, a partnership built on love, loyalty, and steadfast commitment. Together they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering support.
She was predeceased by her cherished parents, Gerard Walsh and Mary Carrol, and by her brother Gerard Walsh and his wife Georgina.
Alice leaves behind her loving husband Frank; her children Mary (Steve), Eilis (Tony), Robert (Hiroko), Dermot, and Deirdre (László); her treasured grandchildren Kathleen, Sarah, Charlotte, Christopher, Aoife, Jasper, Oscar, and Adele; and her dear brothers Paddy (Mary) and Hugh (Phil).
To her family, she was a constant source of comfort and love. Her gentle guidance, soft smile, and patient heart will be remembered in the everyday acts of kindness she modeled so effortlessly. She taught us compassion by living it.
Her legacy is one of love — steady, generous, and enduring. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in her children, her grandchildren, and in every life she touched.
Alice, your name is gently said
In quiet tears we've softly shed.
Loving mother, sister, wife and friend,
A steady heart until the end.
You built your life with patient grace,
And left your warmth in every place.
In children grown and love passed on,
Your light remains,
Alice, you're not gone.
Donations in lieu of flowers to Hospice Simcoe would be appreciated.
