It is with great sadness that the family of Andrzej (Andrew) Mietus announce his sudden passing on March 24, 2025 at the age of 59.
Beloved husband and best friend of the late Malgorzata (Margaret). He will be dearly missed by his children, Angelina (Cody), Adrian, Victoria, Damian (Jessica); and his grandchildren (Connor and Ava). He is survived by his sisters Janina (Adam), Maria (Wladek), his brother Tadeusz (Anna). Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews and all family in Poland and Canada.
Andrzej’s sudden departure has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him, he will be so deeply missed.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie on Friday, March 28th, 2025 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on the following day on Saturday, March 29th, 2025 at 12 pm at the Holy Spirit Parish, 650 Essa Road. Interment to follow at the St. Mary’s Cemetery, 208 Sunnidale Road, Barrie. Reception will take place within the Church Hall following the interment. For guests who wish to not attend the interment, please remain within the Church Hall to await the families return.
