Peacefully, on Thursday, December 7th, 2017 at the Royal Victoria Hospital in her 85th year. Loving wife of the late Doug Moorhouse (2006). Honoured mother of Kristine Drummond, Judy Mitchell (Roger) (Kevin and Amanda Mitchell, Keith Mitchell) and Linda Moorhouse (Valerie Burns). Cherished grandmother of Lindsay Drummond and Jack Craig. Predeceased by her brother Walter Gronman and survived by her brother Eric Gronman (Mary) and sister-in-law Donna Gronman. Will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends, as well as the members of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Barrie, where she maintained such a strong devotion throughout her life. Anita was an avid golfer, gardener, and had a love of the outdoors. She was a devoted mother and wife, her family always came first. Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, on Tuesday, December 12th, 2017 from 12 pm, until the time we celebrate Anita’s life in the Chapel at 2 pm. Following the service, guests are invited to remain for a reception luncheon in the Lounge. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anita may be made to a charity of choice.
