Peacefully at Hospice Simcoe with her family by her side on February 10, 2018 at the age of 81. Wife of the late Richard Surette. Loving and devoted mother of Pauline DeMaria and her husband Vince, Stephen Surette and his wife Louisa, and Michael Surette and his wife the late Lydia Cummings. Sadly missed by her loving grandchildren Chayden and Maddy. Survived by many brothers and sisters. Annette was a life member of ANAF Barrie branch ladies auxiliary and St. Mary’s Parish C.W.L. for many years. Guests will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Thursday February 15 from 7pm to 9pm. A funeral mass will be held the next day Friday, February 16, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 65 Amelia St., Barrie starting at 10am. A reception will follow in the parish hall. Following the reception, Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Simcoe or the Canadian Cancer Society and are greatly appreciated. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank and gratefully acknowledge the Bayshore Home Health nurses and Dr. Paul Howard for the excellent care given to Annette during this difficult time.
