Barbara Smisko of Midhurst, On., formerly of Welland, On., passed away at home in her 69th year on Saturday, April 2nd, 2011. Born February 3, 1943 in Port Colborne, On., retired Catholic elementary school teacher of the former Welland County Roman Catholic School Board. Barbara is survived by her husband and best friend of 46 years Victor. Daughter of Helen Pyle, and sister of George Pyle of Burlington, On. Beloved mother of Andrew and his wife Nadia of Barrie, On. Visitation will be held at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 201 Minet’s Point Rd., (at Yonge St.) Barrie on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. under the direction of St. Mary’s Parish in the funeral home chapel.
