FIELDING, Barry
Passed peacefully on June 27th, 2020 at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie, in his 89th year. Loving husband of Claire for 63 years. Honoured father of Brian (Paula), Cheryl McDonald (Don), Michael (Jackie) and Leanne White (Dave). Cherished grandfather of Christopher (Letitia), Carolyn, Daniel (Christine), Jeanette, Jessica, Ryan, Allison, Andrew and great-grandfather of Lily, Mia and Duncan. Survived by his brothers Robert and Laurie.
Barry lived his life with his family and friends always at the forefront of his thoughts and for this he will be greatly missed. He was an outstanding businessman having built a successful wholesale business in the 1970’s and 80’s. He loved people, the cottage, travelling with the family, family reunions and most of all his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will also be fondly remembered for his “sweet tooth” and love of desserts.
A celebration of Barry’s life will follow at a later date, with services entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. If desired, donations in Barry’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Hospice Simcoe, and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
