COSENTINO, Bernadette
Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie on May 23, 2024 at the age of 79.
Bernadette is predeceased by her husband Bruno (2017), her infant son Joseph, and her parents Teddy and Bernadette. She will be sadly missed by her son Giuliano Cosentino and daughter Natasha Marsh (Trevor). Her granddaughters Hunter Luna and Paisley will especially miss their “Nonna” very much.
Bernadette grew up loving horses and wanted to would work with them throughout her life. She decided to move to Canada in her 20’s and started a career in banking at the Scotiabank. She could be recognized by her laugh from well across the room and her eyerolls were notorious for conveying certain unspoken thoughts.
A devoted mother, she soon found herself dedicating her focus to raising a family once her children were born. From early morning drives to the ice rinks to weekends spent on road trips and in hotels, no sacrifice was too large when it came to supporting her children’s passion – figure skating.
Sadly, Bernadette was diagnosed with dementia a year ago and even the resilience for which she was so well known had to release her while she slept.
Private family arrangements have been entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie.
