Obituary for Bernice Esther Dyke (née Ellis)
Bernice, loving mother, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 22 nd at Woods Park Care Centre. Predeceased by her devoted husband, Dennis (2014). She will be lovingly missed by her children, Sharron (Vic), Darlene, Dennis (Karen), Wendy, Dan (Lynda) and Melinda (Rob). Gramma to Christopher (Lisa), Kaylaa (Chris), Melissa (Brad), Jared (Katie), Amanda, Andrew, Adam (Caitlin), Kristyn (Michael) and Samantha (Johnathan). Great Gramma to Dillan, Rhianen, Jonah, Ellie, Callie, Cecelia and Brooklynn. Predeceased by siblings Roy (Helen), Mac (Shirley), Vera (Don), Cliff (Doris) and Irene (Frank). She will also be missed by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Kerstin Mossman and the excellent staff at Woods Park for their wonderful care of Bernice. Cremation has taken place as per Bernice’s wishes, with arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. A celebration of Bernice’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Society of Canada, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Salvation Army Canada, The War Amps, or Canadian Cancer Society.
