Bernice passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024 after a brief illness at Mill Creek Care Centre at the age of 99. Bernice was predeceased by her husband Gerald Hardy (2019) and will be sadly missed by her daughter Daryl (Michael), son Greg (Carol), daughter Lorraine (Brent), and son John (Debbie).
Bernice was affectionately known as “Bea” by her nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Born in North Bay Ontario, Bernice was the last surviving of ten siblings. Her family moved to Toronto during World War II where she met and eventually married Gerry and started a family.
Bernice had an active social life, enjoying golf, curling, sewing, singing barbershop harmonies with the Sweet Adelines, and wintering in Florida.
A special shout out to the staff at Mill Creek for taking great care of Bernice for over a decade!
