Passed peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Care Centre, Barrie on Monday, August 20th, 2018 at the age of 90. Predeceased by her husband Vincent in 2010. Loving mother of Ruby “Marie” Edwards (Rob) and of the late John Nickless (1986). Will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Tina (Dino), Vincent, Robin, Ryan, Shelley (Jacuques) and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, with funeral service being held at Collier St., United Church, 112 Collier St., Barrie on Monday, August 27th at 2 pm. Following the interment at Barrie Union Cemetery, guests are invited back to the church for a reception luncheon. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bernice may be made to Hospice Simcoe, the Salvation Army or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
