Short, Bessie Fleetwood (Foster)
At Hospice Simcoe, Barrie on Thursday, June 23rd. Bessie in her 92nd. Year. Wife of the late Jim Short (1998). Dear mother to Patricia Short-Gallé (John) and Mary Schilling (Ron). Loving grandmother to Jean Paul (Sarah), Jimmy (Emily), Jessica and Scotty. Great grandmother to Innez and Charlton. Dear sister to Roy Foster (Marion). Predeceased by her siblings Frances Walsh (late Leighton), Allen Foster (late Fern), Bernard Foster (late Louise), Edwin Foster (late Thelma), Hatcher Foster (late Eleanor), Rachel Russo (late George), Martin Foster (Rita). Sister-in-law of Mildred Short of Paris. Loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Bessie, retired from the Barrie Public Library was a founding member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church (Barrie) and lifetime member of the Eastern Star.
A memorial service celebrating Bessie's life will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 16 at 11:30 a.m. (170 Steel St. Barrie, Ontario, L4M 2G4). In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Simcoe or Westminster Presbyterian Church would be gratefully appreciated.
