Peacefully on July 9, 2015 at the Coleman Care Centre, Betty passed away surrounded by her loving daughter Anne Leyden (Coulson) and her best friends Dorothy Fitzgerald and Ialeen Nealon. Remembered by her son Robert Coulson. Grandmother of Andrea Leyden (Kyle VanDerGracht), Mark Leyden, Kayley Cheng (Ben) and Landon Coulson (Alex). Great Grandmother of Caleb, Lily Marie Betty and the late Bailey. Will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and other family in the U.K., California, and Canada.
Family and friends will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, on Saturday July 25th at 12:00 noon until time of Chapel service at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at Barrie Union Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you to the special caregivers and friends at both Coleman Care Centre and Lakeside Retirement Residence that showed such love and kindness over the last three years and Dr. Brent Elsey who provided support during this journey.
