Bonnie Margaret Edith Collacutt, nee Fortier, age 83, of Innisfil Ontario died November 22, 2024. Survived and missed by her husband Dave Collacutt, children Shelley Collacutt Miller (John Miller), Laura Zeidler (Robert Zeidler), Karen Collacutt (Kevin Rost), brother Jerry Fortier (Catherine Fortier), her grandchildren Will, Sara, David, Julia, Steven, Emily, and Mathew and her many nieces and nephews.

Born in Pickering, Ontario, September 5, 1941, Bonnie, Jerry and her parents Maureen (Fergie) and Arthur loved their home in the Rouge Valley. Bonnie and Dave met at Mosport and were married for 61 years. They purchased a wooded rural property in King Township and built a passive solar home with a huge garden. They raised their three daughters and shared the property with a variety of goats, ducks, cows, horses, cats and dogs. Bonnie had a passion for education from classroom teaching and minute math at the kitchen table, to a successful educational software business built with Dave.

Bonnie and Dave retired to their beautiful waterfront property on Lake Simcoe in the mid-90s. They generously shared this home with friends and family during many celebrations.

Bonnie will be missed by her wide group of friends and colleagues including “Table 12” and the communities from Grace United Church, Ruah, Grandmothers to Grandmothers, and Earth Drum.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Grace United Church, 350 Grove St. E Barrie, L4M 2R7 on Saturday November 30th at 11am, reception to follow. Visitation at Grace United Church Friday November 29 6-8pm.

In lieu of flowers, donation to the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers to Grandmothers or the Royal Victoria Hospital Foundation.
