Peacefully passed at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on Thursday, June 27th, 2024 at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband of Carolyn (née Coughlin) for 58 years. Loving father of Corey (Heather), Blair, Vicki, Justin and Joell. Proud grandfather of Evan, Vaughn (Cristina), Luke, Shyann, Aidan and great grandfather of Abigail and Rose. Dear brother of Norman (Paula). Will be sadly missed by extended family members and many dear friends.
Brian was a skilled outdoorsman from a very young age. He had a great passion for the back country of Wavell, Ont. Hunting, trapping and being on the Black River, where countless time was spent with his father, brother, uncles and children.
His second passion, carpentry! Having built many custom homes, barns and outbuildings in his career.
In keeping with Brian’s wishes cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all of the doctors, nurses and staff at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, specifically in the ICU and Respiratory Units, for keeping Brian comfortable and cared for.
