In Loving Memory of
Brigitta Maria Schmid
Born at Gablonz, Czech Republic
On July 30, 1933

Brigitta was known by family, friends and coworkers for her sense of humour, love of life and love of nature. A mother to five, she provided advice, company and friendship. She was an example of tolerance to differences between us all. Her principles led her to support many people in need from all over the world, endeavouring to assist refugees, new Canadians, lost animals, endangered species and others in need.

In her professional life she contributed sound reason, a determination to achieve and accomplish as much as possible and a smile to go with the sense of humour which will be remembered by us all.

Her learning was never done. While raising five children she pursued an education which did not end upon receipt of her Masters in Political Science but continued for decades thereafter. She was a life long learner.

She will be sadly missed, but cherished forever.
