Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday July 23rd, 2013, in his 85th year. Beloved husband and best friend for nearly 60 years, he leaves behind his wife Alice. Devoted father of Janice (Eric) Hester, and Heather (Richard) St. Germain. Proud and wonderful Gramps to Lauren (François), and Bryan. Dear brother-in-law of Betty and Gordon Walker, Dorothy and David Sproule. Bryan will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Best friend of Denyse and the late Don Graham, and Buck and Ann MacDonald. Special thanks to the staff at West Parry Sound Health Centre for their kindness, care and compassion.
Friends and family will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie (705-721-9921) from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Monday, July 29, 2013. Service to be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 5 Noraline Avenue in Midhurst on Tuesday July 30, 2013 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Simcoe County or West Parry Sound Health Centre would be gratefully appreciated.
