Passed peacefully at his home in Barrie on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023 at the age of 79 years, in the loving care of his wife. Beloved husband of Dorothey (nee Johnston) for 60 years. Loving father of Steven (Heather) and Mark (Shannon). Proud grandfather of Sarah, Emmett, Eli and Felix. Dear brother of Leighton (Eudeen), Leonard (Brenda), the late Kathleen and Audrey (Chuck). Will be missed by his brother-in-law Hal Johnston (Gwen) and their children Owen (Tricia) and Aaron (Rachelle). Bryon will be sadly missed by his extended family members and many dear friends.

Bryon had a passion for many things from aviation and restoring classic automobiles, to camping and traveling with his family. Bryon was a dedicated father and worked hard for many years as owner and operator of his family business.

Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023 from 10 am until the time of Service in the Chapel at 11 am. Reception to follow inside the lower lounge. Interment to immediately follow at the Thornton Union Cemetery at 2 pm. Donations in Bryon’s memory may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society and are greatly appreciate by the family. The family would like to thank all the nurses from Saint Elizabeth Health Care and doctors who had assisted Bryon over the years for all their kindness and support.
