It is with profound sadness that we share news of the passing of Cathy Hampshire (Brown) on May 8, 2024 at the young age of 77. Cathy was the beloved wife and best friend to Keith, to whom she was married for 55 years. She was a loving mother to their beautiful daughter Laura, son Christian, his wife Megan and their cherished children Rowan and Elliot and her other beloved daughter Laurie, her husband Danny and their children Logan and Landon. Best sister to Jan and her husband David and children Ashley and Robert. She received tremendous love and cuddles from her many dogs over the years.
Cathy built many lifelong friendships both here in Canada, at their winter home in Florida, and in England. She was a loyal and loving friend, always ready to listen and lend counsel to anyone who asked. She loved talking politics and would engage in lengthy discussions about current events and the politics of the day.
She was beautiful … she modelled in her younger years, intelligent … she taught school for years, and her students still contact her to tell her she was the best teacher they ever had … they loved her.
Perhaps her greatest joy was spending time with her precious grandchildren, Logan, Rowan, Landon and Elliot. They loved their grandma deeply. She was especially proud of her husband, Keith’s singing career, and took every opportunity to attend his performances.

Donations to the Grove Park Home in Barrie, who took such wonderful and sincere care of Cathy, would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
