LOCKHART, Catherine May (nee Carruthers)
Passed away peacefully at Princess Margaret Hospital on Sunday April 18th, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Cathy was in her 52nd year and leaves behind her beloved husband Robin and her half-sister Dale Lade. Cathy will be missed by her adoptive family, the Bretts. She will be fondly remembered by her aunts Nora, Vicky and Phyllis Brett; her uncles Harold and Richard Brett; uncle Walter Carruthers and uncle Harold Bishop and her many cousins. She is predeceased by her mother Mary Carruthers, her father Lorne Carruthers and her grandmother Eleanor Brett and uncles Bob and David Brett. Cathy graduated with a B.A. degree from Sir Wilfred Laurier University and enjoyed a successful career in various administrative positions. Cathy was active in several charitable organizations and has many friends who have cherished their relationship with her. At the request of her family a private service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.
