Passed away on June 5, 2010 at the Royal Victoria Hospital at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of John Averell for 61 years. Loving mother of Derek (Elaine), Doreen, Gregor (Wendy) and Howard. Dear grandma of 10 grand children and 14 great grand children. Friends will be received at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 201 Minet's Point Road (Barrie) on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 1 p.m. until the time of the Memorial service in the Chapel at 2 p.m. A private family interment has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Rena may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Diabetes Association.
