Passed away at the Orillia Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, November 8th, 2009. Charles Batt, of Guthrie, in his 71st year. Beloved wife of Zelpha (nee Williams) for 50 years. Devoted Dad and Grandpa of Debbie Dunsmore and her children Donovan & the late Andrew, Linda (Mark) Hayter and their children Lindsey, Morgan & Maggie, Kelly (Peter) Hayes and their children Kyle & Amanda and Donna (Al) Billes and their children Dylan & Ashley. Charles will be missed by his brother Morley Batt and by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Donna Davis. The family will receive friends at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie, 721-9921, on Wednesday, November 11th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the chapel on Thursday, November 12th at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Queensville Cemetery.
