(Past Employee of Electrolux for 50 years and Past Manager of Horseshoe Valley, Valley Golf Course)

Peacefully at Roberta Place in Barrie on August 25th, 2014 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband and best friend of Dorothy for 57 years. Sadly missed by his children Deby Melillo (Vincenzo), Janet Proulx (Carol), Mark Desjardins (Jackie), the late Philip Desjardins (Trudy), Robert Desjardins (Colleen), Lianne MacGibbon (Mike). Proud Papa of Genny, Johnny, Michelle, Kelsie, Tara, Adam, Ashley, Sheena, Dillon, Mark, Angus, Brittany, and great grand kids, Arielle, Ryder, Coby, & Jack. Survived by sisters Colette Desjardins, Michele Bruson (Yves), and brothers Raymond Desjardins (Nicole) and the late Gerry Desjardins (Helene). Always remembered by many dear nieces and nephews. Claude will forever be remembered and missed by the friends who are like family, the Wilson, Barker, Colero, Taber, and Mitchell families. Friends and family will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie on Thursday August 28th from 2pm. to 4pm., and 7pm. to 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Spirit Parish, 650 Essa Road, Barrie on Friday August 29th starting at 10:30am. Cremation to follow. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Roberta Place Home Area 2.
