Joseph, Connie Michelle (née Tuckett)
Passed away peacefully with her family at her side, at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, on Monday December 2, 2013, at the age of 51. Connie was the precious wife of Rolland Joseph and devoted mother of Krista and Kelsey. Predeceased by her mother Mary Simone Tuckett (Turcotte), her mother-in-law Thérèse Joseph (Bernier), her stepmother-in-law Marie Aumont, her brother-in-law Georges Joseph, her sister-in-law Liane Joseph (Girard) and her nephew Jean-Abel Joseph, Connie leaves behind her father Thomas Reginald (Reg) Tuckett and her younger sister Nancy Tuckett (Michael Slattery).
To Connie, nothing was more important than her family, her love of children and her love of animals, especially her dog Ginger. She loved to entertain at home with friends and family. She was blessed with two wonderful daughters and she was especially blessed to have been an aunt and godmother to Jared Slattery, MacKenzie Mackinnon (Jacqueline Peynado) and Zacchary Joseph and an aunt to Alannah Slattery; David Lepage, Jamie Lepage (Deirdre), Tammy Desforges (Francis), Jacques Lepage (Geneviève); Natasha Grenier (Alain), Shelley Giguère, Jessica Joseph (Margaret), Roland Giroux (Nancy), Shawn Giroux (Lana), Karen Tessier (Phil); Paul Lukasewych, Carrie Morris (Michael), Alain Joseph (Maria Yrjänheikki), Daniel Joseph and Paul Joseph, Geneviève Cox (Mike), Michael Mackinnon (Anna Albanese), Ashley Paulin (Mathieu), Mathieu Joseph (Karina) and Amélie Joseph.
Connie was known to many as the cake lady. Her specialty was birthday cakes and many a child in Barrie got to enjoy one of the many cakes she lovingly baked and decorated for their birthdays.
Connie will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her brothers and sisters-in-law Michael Slattery (Nancy), Sister Linda Joseph fdls, Rita Lepage (Don), Helen Joseph (the late Georges), Denise Lukasewych (Peter), Albert Joseph (Marilyn), Simonne Joseph, and Robert Joseph (Hélène Trahan), as well as by her many aunts and uncles.
Family and friends will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Homes, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie, on Thursday December 5, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John Vianney, 13 Baldwin Lane, on Friday December 6, 2013 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 208 Sunnidale Road.
