Peacefully surrounded by family in Barrie on Sunday November 20, 2016 in his 67th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Margie. Dear father of Marc (Kim), and Lucas (Margi). Proud grandpa of Zak, Braydon, Theron, Ryken, Declan, and Kayley. Survived by brother Bob, sister Janie and their families. Sadly missed by many other dear family members and great friends. Guests will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Thursday, November 24, from 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm. A Journey of Remembrance will take place the next day, Friday, leaving the funeral home at 9:30am. This Journey will take Danny up the mountain in Collingwood for a smudging ceremony followed by a reception. Please dress warmly. Also note, no cell phones or cameras at the sacred fire please. A Celebration of Danny’s Life will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, November 26, 2016. Visitation starting at 11am followed by the service starting at 1pm. A reception will follow.
