Denise “CiCi” Bryson.
Passed away peacefully on the morning of September 18th after a brief but courageous fight with cancer. She was surrounded by her family and friends in her final days, and experienced the same love and caring from them that they had come to expect from her. She was 58 years old.
Denise was an extremely generous woman. She loved laughter and had a way of brightening up the room. She was determined to forge her own way through life, rather than follow a well-trodden path. A bright, energetic woman, she had a way of making fast friends with all those who came into her life, be it the friends of her children, her beloved dog George’s beautician, or the local car repair men.
Late in her life CiCi discovered her true calling as an elementary school teacher. Her loving and nurturing nature was a perfect fit for teaching little kids and enabled her to touch many more lives. It was not only her students that she touched but the relationships that she made with her colleagues were as dear to her as any other.
Cici was the loving wife of Tom and revered mother of Shane, Matt and Danielle, Nikki and Mike, and Chris. She was the daughter of Len (pre-deceased) and Elda Walton. She was the adored sister of Ann, Len, Rosemary, Alison and Diane. Her family, her friends, and all the people she has touched throughout her life will miss her greatly, and remember her forever.
Friends will be received at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 30 Worsley St., Barrie from 7-9 p.m. on Monday. Complete funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in our chapel. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be gratefully appreciated. Condolences may be forwarded through www.steckleygooderham.com.
