After 100 years of celebrated life, Dirkje (Dippie) Hermina Carisse passed away peacefully at Roberta Place, in Barrie on May 22, 2021.
Dippie is predeceased by her Husband Max Carisse (1987), sister Gerrie Geurts(2014), and parents (Hermina & Hessel).
Dippie is lovingly remembered by her daughter Laura (Dan), her son Hess (Berylanne), her grandchildren Craig (Angie), Chris (Sabrina), Carrie (Ivy), Sarah (Darren), Heidi (Carolyn), Caleb (Kasia); and her great-grandchildren Emily, Riley, Bailey, Julia, Lauren, Connor, Max, Kathryn, Kelsey, and Lainey.
Dippie was born in Apeldoorn, Holland, on April 14, 1921. She endured the occupation of German soldiers in the Second World War, married a French-Canadian Soldier, and moved to Canada in 1946. She spent much of her life raising her family in Capreol before moving to Port Hope in 1989. In 2010, she moved to Barrie to be closer to family. She had a blessed life, seeing and experiencing so much and impacting all those around her.
She was a strong and vibrant Dutch woman who was passionate about gardening, swimming, golf, tennis, opera singing, and sweets! She loved the Lord and dedicated her life to serving him.
