Dolores Nora Movich passed peacefully at the age of 93, in the passionate care of Lakeview Manor Long Term Care and went to be with her Lord God in Jesus Christ, on May 23, 2021.

Survived by her 91 year-old sister Frances Greig, 4 predeceased sisters (Adele Bernardi, Gloria St. Pierre, Florence Drimmie, Valerie Movich), predeceased by her parents (Anna and Frank Motykiewicz / Movich), “Aunt Dolores” will be fondly remembered by many nieces & nephews.

Dolores grew up in East York within the City of Toronto. Her true loves included 60 years of singing in the choir at St. Paul’s Bloor Street Anglican Church (February 27, 1949 to March 1, 2009), her cottages on Halls Lake, the colour purple and our Lord God. Dolores Movich had very hard-working ethics inbred in her as the daughter of Polish immigrants, leading to her diligent work in bookkeeping at McCann-Erickson Advertising of Canada Ltd. and to the hard physical work which she performed in the upkeeping of her childhood home on 73 Furnival Road until 2009, as well as at her lakeside cottages. Dolores will also be remembered for her piano playing, her love for old Shirley Temple movies, classical music and the Opera.

There will be an online service that will be available on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. Please check above for the Recording link on Tuesday. In the memory of Dolores Movich, donations may be made, to a charity of your choice. Online memories and condolences may be shared or forwarded via www.steckleygooderham.com.
