Bamford, Donald (Donny)
April 17, 1937 – June 23, 2012. A proud RCR veteran. Born in Hamilton to the late John and Millie Bamford. Survived by his devoted wife Shirley of 48 years. Also survived by son Scott (Christine) and daughter Dawn Bainbridge. Proud grandfather of Thomas and Elizabeth Bamford and Erin Bainbridge. Predeceased by brothers Jack and Mervyn Bamford. Survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. He was an avid sports fan especially of the Toronto Argonauts In his healthy years he loved to entertain and be the centre of attention. He loved to travel, cook and was a great handyman to have around the house. He will be missed by family and friends. Friends will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet's Point Rd. from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm on Wednesday. Complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow. Special thanks to the Royal Victoria Hospital Dialysis Unit doctors and staff.
