Strathdee, Donald Floyd – died peacefully on November 1, 2010 after a brief brave battle with Brain Cancer at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie. He was surrounded by his family, his wife Libby (nee: Coombs), his children Janet (John Walen) Laura, Andrew (Cori) and Jamie (Audrey). Don adored his 4 grandsons Cameron and Ryan Whalen and Jack and Eric Strathdee. He will be missed by his sisters MaryLou Strathdee and Joanne Kinsella. Family and friends may call at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie, on Friday November 5th, 2010 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral service in celebration of Don's life will be held on Saturday November 6th, 2010 at 2 p.m. At the request of Don's family donations may be made to the Royal Victoria Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
