READ, Dorina (Doreen) –
Passed away peacefully at Bob Rumble Home for the Deaf (formerly of Collier Place) on Monday, February 11, 2013. Doreen of Barrie was in her 87th year. Doreen's life and character will be fondly remembered by her daughters Nancy Shephard (Harry), Barbara Thompson, and her sons Robert Read (Ruth), Kenneth Read (Elaine), Gordon Read (Carole), and Thomas Read. Predeceased by husband Jim Read and daughter Deborah Read. Grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Doreen was born in Sackville, New Brunswick and moved to Ontario in 1972. She was loved by many.
Friends may call at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet's Point Rd., Barrie, on Wednesday, February 13, from 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, February 14 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
