Acton, Doris E. Peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital on Sunday, August 21, 2011 in her 88th year, surrounded by her loving family. Doris beloved wife of Douglas H. Acton. Amazing mother of Lorie ( partner Sharon ) of Barrie, Joy ( Terry Judd) of Ottawa, Neil ( Jan ) of Whitby and Lynn of Barrie. Cherished Grandmother of Lara, Peter, Kevin, Matthew, Scott, Craig, Chris and Carly and 3 great grand children Holland, Ethan and Landon. Dear sister of Verna Andrew of Winnipeg , Joyce Adams of Melita, Manitoba and Glen Newberry of Calgary, Alberta. Doris is predeceased by her brother Ray Newberry. The family will receive friends at the STECKLEY – GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 201 Minets Point Road., on Thursday August 25, 2011 from 1pm until time of Funeral service at 2pm. Memorial donations would be appreciated to the Royal Victoria Hospital Foundation where Doris was a dedicated volenteer for over 20 years.
