Peacefully on Wednesday May 12, 2010, at her home at The Waterford Retirement Residence, Barrie in her 87th year. Sweetheart of the late Cecil Hammond. Dear Mother of Bonnie Roffman (Peter), Tim (Jackie), Dale and Beth Frankish (Kevin). Loving Grandma of Arla, Erin, Lauren, Breanne, Evan, Kaelynn, Parker and Bryden. Great Grandma to Mason. Doris was the last surviving sibling of Jack, Rena, Don and twin Dorothy. Special thanks to Dr.Michael McConvey, the third floor nurses at Royal Victoria Hospital, and especially to the nurses and staff at St. Micheal’s Hospital 2 B Vascular Unit. Family and friends will be received at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 201 Minet’s Point Road, Barrie on Sunday May 16, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday May 17th , 1:00 pm at the Collier Street United Church, 112 Collier Street, Barrie.
