Passed away peacefully at the IOOF Nursing Home, Barrie, on Friday, May 13th, 2011. Dorothy Russwurm, of Barrie, in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd “Rusty” Russwurm. Dear mother of Ken and Tina, Gary and Margaret, and Barbara Ann. Cherished Gramma of Karen (David) Feeley and Christopher and Great Gramma of Meghan. Dorothy will be missed by her sister in law Nancy Huemiller. Loving aunt of Denise Gauthier, Jon Huemiller, Paul Huemiller, Mark Huemiller, the late Billy Huemiller and the late Mary Ann Weber. Dorothy is predeceased by her siblings Florence, Jack and Bill. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Gaylene, Jean and the rest of the staff at the IOOF Nursing Home for their kindness and care of their mother. The family will receive friends at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie, (705) 721-9921 on Wednesday, May 18th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 220 Steel Street, Barrie, on Thursday at 11 o'clock. Interment at Barrie Union Cemetery to follow.
