Dorothy Margaret Taylor peacefully passed away Sunday December 10th at Hospice Simcoe (Barrie) surrounded by family.
Dorothy (Nana / Nan / Dott) in her 85th year was the beloved wife of Jack Taylor who passed in September of 2008. Loving mother to Kathy (Tim) Coutts, Susan (deceased) Debbie (deceased) (Paul) Cropley, Dean, David (Tracey), Nicole (Geoff) Barnett and Jessica Lee. Proud Nana (Nan, Grandma) to Dwayne, Sherry, Alex, Cobie, Christian, Cameron, Gillian, Taylor, Tiger, River and Rain. Proud Great Nana to Shaelyn and Mariah. Survived by her brothers JD (Reta) McCort and Eric McCort. Predeceased by her Parents Fern and Duncan McCort of Stayner and her sister Shirley McCort.
Dorothy was an incredible lady who had a lasting impact on everyone she met. A retired nurse from the RVH class of 1962, Dorothy used her caring and compassionate ways to help everyone she connected with.
The family would like to thank the staff at RVH, Dr T Ward-Abel, Dr A Parbtani and Dr J Bailey. Words cannot express the gratitude the family has for the comfort, care and compassion shown at Hospice Simcoe (Barrie).
Friends may call at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie Ontario on Friday from 2-4 pm, 7-9pm and Saturday at 10am. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11am in the chapel. Internment will be held in the spring at the 6th Line Cemetery in Innisfil.
