John Douglas Leonard (Doug) left the loving arms of his family on December 2nd, 2016 at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie after a short illness in his 67th year.
Beloved husband and best friend of 43 years of Kathy nee Gough. Loving father of Colin and his wife Karla Lhotsky; Sarah D’Ambrosio and her husband Ryan; Laura Corbett and her husband Matthew.
Proud and loving Poppa of Norah Leonard, Sophia and Olivia D’Ambrosio and Maxwell Corbett.
Dear brother of Eldon Leonard and his wife Brenda, and Ken Leonard. Brother-in-law of Ken and Sandra Saunders and Jon and Tracy Gough. Uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Guests will be received at STECKLEY-GOODERHAM Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie, on Tueday, December 6th, 2016 for visitation from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. A service will take place on Wednesday, December 7th, 2016 starting at 2pm. Visitation from 1pm. Reception to follow.
Doug was passionate about sharing his commitment to the advancement of paramedicine with colleagues and students.
