Dr. James Edward Parks D.C. , U.E. “Tedâ€- Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital Barrie, on Thursday May 7, 2009, with his family by his side, after his courageous battle with Leukemia . Ted, in his 72nd year, beloved husband of Margaret and the late Carolyn Jean (Nee Thompson).Loving father to Lorraine Vonk (John), Charlene Poirier (Maxwell Cranford), Neil Parks (Sylvia) and Jamie Morrison (Rachel King), predeceased by daughter Kimberly. Proud Grandpa of Candice, Robert, Chantel, Brittany, Braxton, J.J., and predeceased by his Grandson Bryce. Great grandpa of Nolan. Predeceased by his parents Sherman and Mary Parks. Friends may call at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Homes, (Yonge Street and Minet’s Point Road), on Monday May 11, 2009 from 2-4pm. and 7-9pm. Service to be held at the Northwest United Church Barrie, on Tuesday May 12, 2009 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Victoria Hospital Regional Cancer Care Centre in Ted’s memory. Interment Barrie Union Cemetery.
