SMITH, E. Keith – Peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital , Barrie , on Wednesday afternoon, November 18, 2009. Keith Smith of Barrie , in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Joyce Smith (deceased). Loving father of Susan Robson (Danial) of Newmarket , Wyn Smith (Marlene) of Barrie and Brian Smith ( Erin ) of Unionville. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Emily, Jessica (David), Melanie (Jason), Abby (Nic), Brock, and Paige. Dear brother of the late Margaret Kathleen (Kay) Morris (nee Smith) (John). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A celebration of Keith Smith’s life will be held at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME (201 Minet’s Point Road at Yonge Street ), Barrie (705-721-1211), on Dec 5th at 3pm (scent-free please). The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Dr. Joe Bailey, Dr. John Toye, Miae Kim of CCAC, the staff at St. Elizabeth Health Care (in particular Jennie Robinson and Jeanne Wrigley), Barrington Retirement Residence, and Royal Victoria Hospital Medical and Palliative Care Unit. Keith and Joyce’s ashes will be interred at a later date, with some sprinkled in the water near Beausoleil Island in Georgian Bay where Keith proposed marriage to Joyce.
