Sitarz, Edwina nee(Mocarski)
– Passed away peacefully on September 14 2010 at Roberta Place Long Term Care home in Barrie, Ontario. Predeceased by her husband, Stan (1998), she is survived by her children: Josie (Bert) Buchanan; Steve (Susan) ; Jean (Brent) Taylor ; and John (Lee) . Loving Babka of Alex, Jennifer (Dan), Mark, Kristie, Megan, Emily and Erin. Edwina was a life time member of the Catholic Women’s League, having served the St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church Parish Community in Sudbury, Ontario. She also spent many years as a Leader, Commissioner and strong supporter of the Girl Guides in both Toronto and Sudbury. In addition to her family and volunteer work, Edwina established a successful career as an office professional.
Friends will be received at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 201 Minets Point Rd., Barrie on Thursday from 7-9 p.m.Funeral mass will be held Friday 10:00 at St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends are invited to a reception at the Holiday Inn, 20 Fairview Rd., Barrie following the interment. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the caring staff at Roberta Place long term care facility.
