Passed away peacefully on Monday, December 3, 2018 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre at the age of 94 years. Beloved wife of the late William Cole (1994). Loving mother of Stan (Myrna) and Robert “Bob”. Dear grandma of Aaron, Shannon and Steven. Proud great grandmother to Hunter. Friends will be received at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 30 Worsley Street,. Barrie on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. A service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the lower lounge of the Funeral Home. Private family interment at a later date. Amongst many things, Muriel was a former member of the Shanty Bay Woman's Business Ladies League and a former City of Barrie employee. Muriel is a World War II veteran and an early member of the Canadian Women's Army Corp. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
