Watson: Esther Maud (nee Liddle)
September 8, 1927 – October 14, 2011
Beloved wife of Wallace Watson for 64 years, Esther's courageous struggle with illness ended with her family by her side. Esther Liddle was a war bride and came to Canada in 1946 from London, England. She was proud to become Canadian and was a patriotic supporter of Wally's military activities, faithfully attending D-day and Remembrance Day parades until she was no longer able. Cherished mother of Katherine Campbell, Karen Dixon and her husband Paul. Loving grandmother of Andrew and Carrie Dixon, and step grandmother of Ryan and Michael Campbell along with their wives and children. Esther will be fondly missed my many friends and relatives. Friends will be received at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie on Saturday, October 15th from 2-4 p.m. A Chapel service will be held on Sunday, October 16th at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. Thank you to Dr. McConvey and the staff at Victoria Village Buckingham Unit for caring for Mum.
