On this Christmas Eve, which would have been Eugenia’s 101st birthday shared with her twin brother, the family announces her passing from this earthly realm on October 29, 2021. This admirable, determined, fiercely independent and feisty Mamusia was Babcia to Justine (Jason) and Prababcia to Ethan and Sawyer who she delighted in meeting and enjoying. Living to be a centenarian was truly a feat for one who lived with a rare chronic condition most of her life. Now joined with deceased family members, friends and neighbours, and likely the last of a memorable era of Polish immigrants within her circle, she will be sorrowfully missed by those who remain, yet forever remembered with tender, joyful recollections of her optimism, hilarity and accomplishments.
