YOUNG, Florence (McKenzie)
Passed peacefully at the IOOF in Barrie on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Young and the late Roy McKenzie. Loving mother of Patricia Charlebois (Rick), Louis McKenzie (Anne), Douglas McKenzie (Debbie), as well as the late Dave and Brian McKenzie. Stepmother to Colleen Robertson (Keith), Janet Cubitt (Eldon) & Christine Muller. Predeceased by her 9 sisters and brothers. Florence will be sadly missed by her nieces, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Friday, November 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, with service taking place in the Chapel on Saturday, November 4 at 11 am, followed by interment at Midhurst Cemetery. After the interment, a reception will take place back at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the IOOF or charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
