Peacefully at Roberta Place, Barrie on Wednesday November 12, 2014, Frances Spearn of Barrie, in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Charles Spearn. Loving mother of Ann (Norman Dowds) of North Vancouver, B.C., John (Diana) of Waterloo, Scott (Paula) of Toronto, Greg of Toronto, and Robert (Jill) of Rossland, B.C. Loving grandmother of Matt, Adam, Emma, Blair (Julia), Brooke (Scott), Max (Emily), Ainslie (Mark), Sarah, Lucie, Sam and great-grandmother of Ellie, Hazel, Poppy, Angus, Ronan, Reed, and Georgia. Dear sister of Ean Maxwell (Pat) of Saanich, B.C., and Florence. Fran was an extraordinary woman who spent her younger years as a primary school teacher, and in addition to being a loving, devoted wife and mother, she was very involved at the Burton Avenue United Church, and invested her time as a volunteer with the March of Dimes.
