McLean: Frances [Françoise]
The family of Frances announces with great sadness her passing in her 66th year on January 27, 2011 at Trillium Hospital. She faced her illness with courage and serenity, never giving up hope, yet accepting the inevitable with grace. Her passionate love of her family, friends and the world at large was always to the fore throughout her life, as a teacher, wife and friend. She will be greatly missed by her husband Stephen, daughters Liz Sargeant, Stephanie McLean and Annie Sauvé-Szydziak, grandchildren Claire and Joey, twin sister Helen Gallant and all her extended family. Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Michael King and to the entire staff of the Trillium Oncology Clinic for their expert and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to trilliumhealthcarefoundation.org or mailed to the Trillium Health Centre Foundation, 100 Queensway West, Mississauga, Ont. L5N 1B8. Friends in the Barrie and Orillia area may visit the family at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Rd., Barrie on Wednesday February 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Friends in the Toronto area may visit at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Visitation Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road [east gate entrance north of St. Clair Ave] on Friday February 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.
