It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Francesco (Frank) Venanzio De Amicis, loving husband of Nadia (née Baldo) for over 55 years. Predeceased by their infant son, Adolfo, his brothers, Giuseppe (Joe) and Victorio (Vic), his nephew Lance, and his parents Evelina and Rodolfo De Amicis. Forever loved by his daughter Francesca Dougan and son-in-law Stephen and profoundly proud of his grandchildren, Owen, Alexandra and Cooper. Will be missed by his siblings and their spouses, Delia (David), Danny (Dee), Loretta and Jennifer. Loved and missed by his many nieces and nephews and their children; Cesare (Lucy) – Isabella, Vito, Vincenzio, Marcus (Amanda) – Ashley, Amy, Mason, Santino, Orlando (Rajma), Adriano, Andrea (Jermaine) – Alesso, Aisen, Justin, Miya – Madison, Joseph – Jaxson, Hannah, Sheri-Lynn – Emma, Madison, Olivia, Lorie – Charlotte, Jenna and Sarah. Fondly remembered by Gino and Gertude (Trudy) Baldo and his surviving aunts and uncle, Maria Scarsella and Clorinda and Achille Scarsella. He will be missed by his many relatives and friends that meant to very much to him.

Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Sunday, January 26th, 2025 from 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place the following day on Monday, January 27th, 2025 at 10 am at the St. Mary’s Church, 65 Amelia St., Barrie. Guests are invited to remain for a reception inside the Church Hall following the Mass. In keeping with Frank’s wishes, cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society (St. Mary’s Church) or to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (Heart Program) or to a charity of choice and are greatly appreciated by the family.
