On May 23rd 2014, amid the calm beauty of Vienna, Austria, beloved Frank Rinaldi, 63, of Barrie Ontario sadly passed away. Born in the town of Craco, Matera, Italy, to parents Domenica (nee Pignataro) and Andrea Rinaldi (both deceased), Frank immigrated to Barrie at the age of 16. With his immense creative intelligence and natural charm and charisma, Frank proved a brilliant hairdresser at Salon Rinaldi and later flourished into a respectable property manager with Melchior Management. Frank was gifted with an astute sensibility, a captivating imagination and a restless passion, qualities that he assiduously applied in every aspect of his life and he generously shared with all who knew him. Frank leaves behind his beloved Anna (nee Melchior), devoted wife of 38 years with whom he shared a life of imagination, adventure, and above all, love and happiness, and his three cherished children Sabrina (Garnet Armstrong), Giulia, and Andrew. Frank will be greatly missed and forever remembered by his loving sisters Antonietta Quinto (Giovanni), Giulia D’Elia (Pietro), and Rosenza Galle (Frank), and brothers Nick (Cathy), Richard, and Joe (Filomena). He will also be missed by his loving mother-in-law and father-in-law Gemma and Arnaldo Melchior, and brother-in-law Dino. Frank holds a warm place in the hearts of his many nieces and nephews, and his multitude of friends. If you met Frank just once, you remembered him and you were remembered. With an almost total recall of his life, he had boundless stories that underscored what we saw daily – his tremendous loyalty, quick wit, generosity, integrity and his positive and joyful enthusiasm for life. Special thank you to the extraordinary medical teams of Dr. Kelly Emerson, Dr. Sara Rask, Dr. Matthew Follwell, St. Elizabeth home care nurses and Dr. Peter Papadogianis. Family and friends will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minets Point Rd., Barrie, on Monday, June 2nd, 2014, from 1-4 & 7-9pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 65 Amelia St Barrie, on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2014 at 10am.
