Passed away suddenly at his home in Barrie on Tuesday, November 20th, 2012 in his 83rd year. Fred, beloved husband of Gladys (nee Abrey) Loving father of Jim McMillan (Mary), Jane Squarebriggs (John), Pattie Sharpe (Harvey), Douglas Hooker (Lisa), Laurie Daniels (Harry), Karen Blackstock (Charles). Cherished grandfather of Krista Carey (Tom), Heather McMillan, Meghan, Adam Squarebriggs, Lindsay Scott, Ryan Sharpe, Chantal Soper (Chad), Brittany Hooker, Taylor (Cameron), Hayden Hooker, Sarah and Ryan Daniels, Christopher and Shelby Blackstock. Great grandfather of Asher, Lorelai, Madison, Reagan and Gabriel. In keeping with Fred's wishes cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home. A Celebration Of Life will take place on Monday December 3rd, 2012 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #147 410 St. Vincent St., Barrie from 1-3 p.m. If desired, memorial donations made to Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
