The family of Fredrick (Fred) Wall of Barrie, ON is saddened to announce his passing on June 2nd, 2021 at the age of 84.

He will be dearly missed by his devoted wife of 30 years Evelyn, his children David (Sue), Steven (Charles), Cindy (Steven), Kathy (John), Brenda (Peter), Denise, Bill (Elizabeth), his grandchildren Joshua, Jordan, Elaine, Michelle, Jay (Jon), Nicole, Andrew, Eric, Crystal, Joseph and great grandchildren, Sandra, Aidan, Natalie, Sydney. Predeceased by grandson Christopher. Survived by his sister Irene and predeceased by brothers Gerry and Harold. Fondly remembered by Joyce.

Fred relished life on the road and enjoyed numerous road trips over the years. In the summer months Fred would travel North in his minivan with his boat in tow, enjoying long drives up through scenic Northern Ontario with his trusty dog driving to wherever the fish were biting. He liked ‘roughing it’ while camping and would often forego a tent, choosing to sleep under the stars. In his later years, he would often talk about those great days when he could get out of the Retirement home and get back on the road, on another road trip. Fred had that strong spirit to enjoy travel, explore and enjoy the beauty of nature, right to the end.

A Livestreamed Memorial Service will take place on Monday, June 14th, 2021 at 11 am followed by a private family interment at the Barrie Union Cemetery, 338 Sunnidale Rd., Barrie. A livestream link will be provided above 10 minutes prior to the start of the Service. A recorded version will be made available.
